Bio-LyfeĀ® is an organic yeast extract made from primary-grown Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It appears as a light to beige powder and serves as an efficient flavor enhancer. Produced according to EU organic manufacturing standards, Bio-LyfeĀ® is ideal for adding or enhancing flavor in low-salt soups, sauces, spice mixes, and prepared meals.
Prime-LyfeĀ® yeast extracts are light in color, promoting mild savory tastes and rounding off flavor profiles. Their versatility allows them to be used in broths, bouillons, soups, sauces, and spice blends, creating savory flavor bases and enhancing meaty or vegetable flavors. They are also suitable for non-savory, creamy applications when used in low concentrations.
Intense-LyfeĀ® yeast extracts provide robust flavor bases with roasted, meaty profiles and caramelized notes, contributing to a stronger savory perception. These extracts may impart a dark color.

Savor-LyfeĀ® yeast extracts and yeast-based flavoring* enhance specific flavors and complement cooked notes in various savory foods. They are ideal for foods that require roasted notes, such as roasted beef or chicken, and can be used in combination with other yeast extracts across a wide range of applications.

Whole-LyfeĀ® products are derived from primary and/or whole cell brewerā€™s yeasts. These autolysates improve savory flavor, texture, and mouthfeel in food products. Whole-LyfeĀ® ingredients are cost-effective and beneficial for enhancing savory notes and texture, particularly in low-sodium meat processing.

Pea-based vegan burger
For this meat plant-based application, we worked both with inactive yeast and yeast extract flavor. ToravitaĀ®Ā 300 masks the bitter and beany flavor notes of vegetable proteins while adding pleasant umami flavor and balancing the spices in the recipe. Savor-LyfeĀ® BEC contributes to building the meaty flavor, by its animal-free "beef extract" notes.
Plant-based “Bolognese” style sauce
The combination of yeast extracts and inactive yeast gives just the right taste and juiciness to this plant-based alternative ragout sauce. In this recipe, ToravitaĀ® 000 helps to bind the flavors as well as providing texture enhancement by retaining water syneresis. The torula yeast reveals the flavors of the tomato by supporting with low sodium, natural amino acids. Dark yeast extract Savor-LyfeĀ® BEC participates in this synergistic effect by bringing a juicy and meaty flavor note to the sauce.
Plant-based Bacon
Taste a rich and mouthwatering plant-based version of smoked bacon! our yeast ingredients can deliver both the meaty taste and the smoky notes!
Plant-based burger
Both yeast extracts and inactive yeast can play a role in creating delicious plant-based burgers. As an example, Lake StatesĀ® Type B can act as an off-flavor masking agent, as well as a texturizer for your favorite meat analog. It also contributes to a silkier mouthfeel and meatiness of the flavor. The yeast extract Savor-LyfeĀ® BECĀ  adds beefy roasted notes from an animal-free origin, making the patty more flavorful.

Our Torula yeast-based ToravitaĀ® 300 is a natural ingredient and a great tool for flavor houses and plant-based meal developers, to modulate the perception of the undesired bitter notes. Savor-LyfeĀ® CB is a perfect flavor donator for meat alternative preparations, adding a full-bodied, round chicken taste to the meals. ToravitaĀ® 054 contributes to craveability while avoiding greasy fingers. With a state-of-the art preparation, Savor-LyfeĀ® CB will enhance the chicken base notes of your crispy bites.
PLANT-BASED DELI HAM (EMULSIFIED)
Savor-LyfeĀ® PH 04 adds cooked meaty flavor and ToravitaĀ® 301 masks the undesired notes of pea protein. No doubt you will enjoy these delicious slices of juicy, meaty pea-based ham (to put in your sandwich, omelette or salad).
Polpettine, plant-based “no meat” balls
For this meat plant-based application, we worked both with inactive yeast and yeast extract flavor. ToravitaĀ® 033 aids the texture by creating a strong bonding among ingredients contained in this recipe. This results in helping the forming of the balls and therefore enhancing chewiness and resistance creating better bite satisfaction. Additional to contributing to the colour, Savor-LyfeĀ® BEC yeast extract plays a role in the color and flavor, giving a meaty feel to this dish.
